Dr Ian Quigley - An Update

Dr Quigley will be leaving the practice on the 11th September 2023.

This means that we will be without four surgeries per week once again as we head into the Winter months. Dr Quigley had covered the hours previously done by Dr Pettit before she retired last year.

We would like to thank Ian for his time with the practice.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience that this may cause our patients and are extremely grateful for their support and undertsanding during this period of change.

Retirements - Dr Lorraine Jeffery and Jo Missiato

We are sad to announce that Dr Lorraine Jeffery and Jo Missiato both retired from General Practice in August. Lorraine has been our GP Retainer since 2017, the same year that Jo also joined the practice as our Lead Nurse. They are both extremely popular with patients and staff.

We are hoping that we might be able to persuade Lorraine to come back and do the occasional locum session in the future. However, in the meantime, she will have more opportunities to go horse riding and skiing.

The team all celebrated Jo's retirement with our annual staff walk to Luckington, followed by a sumptious dinner. The sun shone and we all had a wonderful evening.

We all hope that you both have an enjoyable retirement!

Two New GP's at The Tolsey Surgery !

Dr Alice Atkinson will be joining the practice this August as our new GP Retainer. She will be working 4 sessions per week on a Monday and Thursday. Alice lives locally and has a young family. We look forward to welcoming Alice to the practice.

Dr Shi Yu Ong will also be joining us on 2nd August as our new GP Registrar. This will be for her final year of training in General Practice. She has most recently been working at the Emergency Department of the Great Western Hospital.

Dr Ong replaces Dr Hussaina Imam who will be moving to a practice nearer her home in Swindon to complete her training and exams. We wish Hussaina all the best for her future.
